WHADAYA KNOW...?
Rod Blagojevich hair
What recently disgraced politician has inspired a new line of hair care products? If the photo above (altered slightly to protect his identity) doesn't give a clue, perhaps knowing the products' tagline, "It's Bleepin' Golden!", will help. The first person to email me with the right answer (spelling counts!) will receive public accolades in my next newsletter and a token of appreciation designed just for them!
Public accolades this month for Barb Grimes-Smith, Director of Worcester Tobacco-Free Partnership, a program of Spectrum Health Systems, who was the first to reply with the correct answer to last month's question.
Albert Einstein was the one who said, "If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it."

Hi,
This month is the sensational tabloid edition of Creative License. Celebrities! Exposés! Eyewitnesses! Lots of exclamation points!!! Enjoy.
Hidden Identities Exposed!
Instant EyedropperInstant Eyedropper, a nifty FREE tool (but sadly, works only with PCs) was brought to my attention courtesy of Bev White, senior technical writer for Iron Mountain. This tool allows you to capture the color of anything you see on-screen by simply dragging the mouse pointer over the color and then releasing!
Witchcraft at Harvard Business School!
Elevator Pitch BuilderOops, make that PITCHCRAFT...from Skye PR's Lynn Chamberlin comes word of another really cool FREE tool, this time from Harvard Business School...the Elevator Pitch Builder. The Elevator Pitch Builder is a tool to build your pitch through keywords, hints and tips that will help you make the most of your 60 seconds...without scaring people away!
Celebrity Fight Caught on Video!
Font Fight! Two of the world's most recognizable fonts, Helvetica and Arial, are captured on video by College Humor having a good old fashioned rumble in Font Fight. When contacted, both parties declined to comment...
Aging Celebrity Makeovers
Kudos to two folks who were up to last month's creativity challenge to craft headlines for three age-old products that are used every day by (nearly) everyone: air, water and pants.
Jason Kallio, chief trade show strategist of ExpoVantage, sent these:
  • Air: The reason balloons are fun!
  • Water: The only real life elixir.
  • Pants: Wear a statement.
And from Bev White:
  • Air: Always there trying it's damdest to re-freshen and sustain you.
  • Water: Splash, drink, enjoy, repeat.
  • Pants: Short, long, floppy, or tight, you can always find pants that will make you feel right...especially if they're black.
If you don't want to end up looking like sleazy tabloid fodder to your clients, contact JS Graphics. We'll protect your from an unflattering public image and make sure you leave a more lasting impression than yesterday's news!

Happy soon-to-be summer,
